Purpose &
Utility Of The Product -
QC’s First line of clothing: (Sports and General Wear)
The "Quick
Change Clothing"
concept was developed exclusively for the purpose of enabling
people to change specially designed clothes in pubic. The
general public can wear our changeable garments in populated
places like airports or train stations when a dressing room or a
secluded place may not be convenient or available to change from
one shirt to another. The products eliminate having to find a
dressing room or seclusion.
The utility of "Quick
Change Clothing " is vast. Clothing changes can
be done individually, in the public, within a matter of seconds.
A remarkable utility occurs in sports e.g., women tennis
players. The rules of tennis prohibit a player from leaving the
tennis court once the match begins, except for a brief rest room
break. For obvious reasons, women tennis players cannot change
theirs shirts in public, during the match, as men do.
Recreational players have problems caused by limited
availability of public lockers or restrooms and therefore are
also in need of removable clothing.
Problem
Solver
The shirts of tennis
players become sweaty and uncomfortable during the course of a
match. Some men players change shirts three or more times during
a match.
The rules of professional tennis do not allow women to leave the
court during a match, and these shirts allow them to change
on-court without fear of exposure.
By using "removable tennis shirts" women tennis players can now
change shirts on the court as often as necessary. This task can
be accomplished in a matter of a few seconds.
The company is
located in Teaneck, New Jersey. The company was established
shortly after Mr. Drakeford invented a revolutionary tennis
shirt for women.
Inventor's
Product Expansion
QC’s Second Line of Clothing: Adaptive Clothing:
(People living with disabilities or injuries)
Designing accessible clothing was not the
original intention of inventor, Mr. Melvin Drakeford, when he
started the Quick Change Clothing Company.
Enter Adaptive
Clothing
Mr. Drakeford realized that his shirts not only
offered people the ability to change in public, but for some
were also simpler to change into than regular t-shirts. This
realization opened up a whole new business opportunity for his
product. By targeting customers who have difficulty with
changing, he could market the fact that these shirts were
quicker and easier to use than regular shirts. The Adaptive
Clothing Line was designed to provide specially designed
utilitarian clothing for people with limited use of their hands,
wrists, arms, trunk and/or shoulders. The QC clothing line
enthusiastically promotes the competitive advantage of the
products which enable wearers to put on and take off “Disability
Shirts” without pain or struggle and further enables a person to
quickly and easily change the shirt in public without fear of
body exposure, thereby providing “Privacy in Public.”

Revolutionary women’s tennis shirts (for women athletes in all
sports and for general wear)
The utility of "Quick
Change Clothing " is vast. Clothing changes can
be done individually, in the public, within a matter of seconds.
A remarkable utility occurs in sports e.g., women tennis
players. The rules of tennis prohibit a player from leaving the
tennis court once the match begins, except for a brief rest room
break. For obvious reasons, women tennis players cannot change
theirs shirts in public, during the match, as men do.
Recreational players have problems caused by limited
availability of public lockers or restrooms and therefore are
also in need of removable clothing. The shirts can be used by
women playing other sports on professional or recreational
levels
How The Product Works ?
The shirts can be
worn and changed by releasing fasteners located in various
places on the garment enabling the wearer to put on and take off
the apparel in the open without exhibition. This changeable
process is made possible through the strategic location of
fasteners such as velcro, zippers, and/or buttons.
Such apparel easily
can be fastened together or taking apart and slipped off after a
second shirt is placed over the garment one wishes to remove.
The speed of the change is only a few seconds. The shirts can be
washed and worn as often as any other shirt or blouse and will
retain its changeable quality and capability.

Product
Marketability
There is a large market for removable
apparel because it fills a long existing need for people to be
able to change their garments in public. Also, women tennis
players for the first time can feel more comfortable on the
court via having the ability to change their soiled tennis
shirts as often as they desire. Instead of using one shirt per
match players using "Quick
Change Clothing"
can and will use several shirts per match.
